KOGA HDPE

KOGA HDPE is a mature, innovative and above all reliable system of complete pipe drainage of bridges. The system includes pipes and fittings made of HDPE (High Destiny Polyethylene), which is designed together with the suspension system. Our system complies with all relevant valid standards, and especially TP063 (11/2012) “DRAINAGE OF BRIDGES ON LAND COMMUNICATIONS” issued by the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. We cover the professional design, production and implementation of the pipe system on the bridge structure.

Features

KOGA HDPE is a mature, innovative and above all reliable system of complete pipe drainage of bridges. The system includes pipes and fittings made of HDPE (High Destiny Polyethylene), which is designed together with the suspension system. Our system complies with all relevant valid standards, and especially TP063 (11/2012) “DRAINAGE OF BRIDGES ON LAND COMMUNICATIONS” issued by the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic. We cover the professional design, production and implementation of the pipe system on the bridge structure.

Each set of pipes is individually prepared according to the project documentation and the production and technical documentation (VTD) prepared by us for a specific bridge. Compared to other systems, a smaller number of couplings and detachable joints means reliability and tightness. In the case of welding the fitting to the pipe, it is possible to minimize the distance between the bridge structure and the longitudinal pipe – the collector. The pipe is produced in gray and black.

Hanging technique

For assembly and installation, an innovative frame telescopic system of hinges was developed, which uses galvanized steel elements (zinc coating thickness ≥80μm), which are additionally provided with powder paint (coating thickness ≥70μm) identical to the color of the pipe. The connecting and anchoring material is made of corrosion-resistant steel of class A4. Such material design guarantees trouble-free use, high aesthetic value, and also the possibility of simple quality control while minimizing the risk of theft of parts of the hinged equipment.

The hinges can also be made of stainless steel.

When designing the suspensions, we used the FEM (Finite Element Method) method so that the designed profiles could withstand all the forces acting on them during the operation of the drainage system, including the return forces from the compensation nozzles. The result of this process is a complete set of standardized elements forming the suspension system, which allows us to apply it to all bridges. The advantage of standardizing the elements is the possibility of replacing the set of elements “piece by piece” based on the VTD or photos from the construction in case of damage to the suspensions (vandalism, accident).

Advantages

  • lower price than GRP, stainless steel and cast iron systems
  • system certificate for bridges (including suspension technology)
  • The gray color of the system corresponds to the color of the bridge structure
  • UV stability, 30-year lifespan, tested according to DIN EN ISO 4892
  • system homogeneity, simplicity, prefabricated elements, faster assembly
  • non-separable joints i.e. fewer joints
  • fewer joints = less risk of leaks, watertight joints and greater shape variability
  • elimination of rubber compensators
  • system-based connection details
  • color versions – gray RAL 7032 or black
  • telescopic frame suspension system, divided into fixed and sliding points
  • the curtains are not interesting for “metal collectors”
  • installation of hinges does not require cutting of elements – the anti-corrosion protection of the elements is not disturbed
  • PKO corresponds to TKP19b, there is no cutting of material when rectifying hinges
  • comprehensive services from design to installation
  • low roughness = prevention of deposits
  • excellent hydraulic properties
