System description:
The protection is made of a high-density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) designed to protect electrical, telephone and data cables laid under the bridge. It is a single-layer modular pipe socket system that was developed together with a frame telescopic suspension system assembly only for the purposes of engineering structures outside buildings. All factors and aspects related to the purpose of using this system were taken into account in the design. The system is designed to meet all the requirements of NDS a.s., SSC and the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic, (TP05/2013). Anti-corrosion protection of steel bridge structures, TP03/2014 basic protective measures for limiting the impact of stray currents on bridge structures of land roads. The pipe, thanks to additional stabilizers, is resistant to degradation caused by UV radiation and is characterized by color stability during exploitation. According to our information, it is the only thermoplastic bridge drainage system that has been tested with a positive result for stability and aging of the material under the influence of UV radiation according to DIN EN STN ISO 4892, which has proven a service life of 30 years. The system retains its shape, the required mechanical strength and withstands temperatures in the range of -40°C÷60°C. The entire system shows high chemical resistance to chlorides and sulfides (petroleum substances), does not rust, and is resistant to electrochemical corrosion. The pipe is produced in gray and black colors.

Advantages of the KOGA ISD polyethylene conduit system:

The system offers a higher technical and aesthetic level and a more favorable price than the systems currently used in Slovakia. Its main advantages include:

  • the system is designed for bridge structures, not just for underground installation
  • the system is designed as a compatible unit including suspension technology
  • the system has declared UV stability according to STN EN 4892, with a lifespan of 30 years
  • the system is homogeneous, i.e. pipes and fittings are made of the same material
  • telescopic frame steel hinges:
  • corrosion-resistant according to TP05/2013 and TP11/2012 (hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating), connecting and anchoring material made of corrosion-resistant steel class A4,
  • factory product, rectification does not cut the material or damage the surface finish
  • elbows and fittings welded directly to the collector pipe, i.e. fewer connectors, shape variability.
  • The protector is plastic, i.e. it does not corrode and is not interesting for metal collectors.
  • the gray color RAL7032 of the system corresponds to the color of the bridge structure,
