Cornice prefabs made of polymer-concrete are a modern and innovative material dedicated to the aesthetic and permanent completion of a bridge cornice. Thanks to its properties, KOGA CORNICE extends the life of this element on the bridge structure. The visible side of the prefabs is covered with a layer of Gelcoat, which guarantees color stability and resistance of the entire product to weather conditions during exploitation. Cornice prefabs made of polymer-concrete and GRP have a wide choice of colors and shapes, which allows architects to choose this element, which decides the final appearance of the bridge object.

Features of KOGA CORNICE cornice prefabs made of polymer concrete

Polymer concrete has strength properties exceeding conventional concrete. Thanks to this, the cornice prefab for the bridge can be 40 mm thick, and a meter of cornice together with the handles can have a weight of 40 kg/m. Thanks to such parameters, handling on the construction site and the actual installation on the bridge object are less demanding compared to classic concrete prefabs. Assembly can be carried out without the use of heavy equipment.

Polymer-concrete itself has excellent chemical-physical and mechanical properties. Among other things, zero absorption, frost resistance, resistance to oil substances and chlorides, color fastness, high resistance to UV radiation should be highlighted.

Fastening elements:

The cornice prefabs are delivered together with elements enabling assembly on the bridge and subsequent tying of the reinforcements of the prefabs with the armature of the bridge structure. In cooperation with the designer, we can design a system of elements most suitable for the bridge armature, at the same time enabling easy handling and assembly of the prefab during construction.
